According to the AARP, 90% of seniors want to “age in place”, but 85% have done nothing to prepare for it!

1 in 3 of these will take a fall this year, or more than half of those over 80.  Age Safe America says, “A fall changes everything!”

A fall is THE leading cause of injury death for those over 65.

Of those who fracture their hip, almost 60% are dead within a year (due to complications).

4x more 65 year olds die of falls in the U.S. than in auto accidents!

40% of nursing home admissions are the result of a fall.  Half of these do NOT regain their independence and must enter a retirement community prematurely.

Fire safety is a huge issue.  Seniors are 2.5x more likely to die in a home fire (with cooking related being the #1 cause) and more than 4x the general population if over 80!

Seniors are the most likely to be scammed.  The FBI reported U.S. elder fraud of $1.7 billion in 2021, which doubled to $3.4 billion in 2023.
